i did get the turbo and i am at this point very dissapointed. i didnt get what i paid for and not what he said i was getting. i have been in contact with him and he is supposed to be correcting the problem so i shall see and will repost to let everyone know how it turns out but at this time i would avoiding transactions with him for right now

he said in the original post that he was selling a turbo "for a friend" what i got was the beat up yellow turbo that was on his car and some other junk i now have a dispute open with paypal and i think mongoose should do the same

 

This seems to be a trend with him. I just contacted the credit card company that paypal uses (I used this to pay for the item) and they said that they will pursue him legally if the problem is not resolved. My friend, Jake, in Winnipeg is also willing to file suit for me - so one way or the other....

I know he hasn't had a chance to get on here yet - so it seems early to condemn him, but if you guys saw these wheels/tires (look at pics in post on page 1) - You'd agree that he intentionally misrepresented them.

 

yes misrepresentation is the name of his game. yes he sent me a turbo. no it wasnt what he said it was. if i was going to rip someone off i wouldnt have sent anything at all so he isnt totally dishonest but he definately wasnt up front about anything

 

i think turbo kits usually have more than that

 

wow haven't been on rx-8 club in forever this guy IS A SCAM PERIOD, LYING ABOUT EVERYTHING I KNEW MY GUT WAS RIGHT.

There was always an excuse and he needs to be caught for scamming.

 

he did send me a package that is supposed to have the rest of what he didnt send the first time. it will be here monday. he also said he would refund some of my money to gat the welding done that is needed i will let you know how it all plays out

 

Ok. While I feel that he misrepresented these wheels/tires - totally misrepresented, I received the partial refund that I asked for today. I hope he makes right on your turbo kit.
