RX-8 2009 tail lights

Category: Accessories
Price: $380
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series II
Item Condition: Used

Got a set of 2009 RX8 tail lights. Everyone wants them but doesnt want to pay full price. The passanger side needs the clear cover replaced since its cracked. Other than that they're just like new. I set the price at $500 to test waters, thats usually what one goes for. Make offers, my rx8 is gone so need these to sell fast.

no clue, probably like close to $100 from the dealer. But i'm sure you can find it somewhere else cheaper.

the clear part can easily be replaced, they're just like the previous tail lights and everyone usually had to get the gasket replaced cause it would get water in it.

You may want to check your info the S1 taillight the clear is sonicly fused to the housing meaning you would have to cut it apart, not just bake it apart and replace. I'm not saying the S2 lights are that way but just a heads up for people to research

I'm not trying to dog on your attempts to sell your lights, but he's right. Replacing the cracked lense will be a total pain. Additionally, I can't find anywhere that you can purchase just the clear lense cover. The only Mazda part numbers available are for the entire housing assembly. I was interested, but am having no success in locating anything. It sucks, but it's just the way it is. I wish you luck with your sale.

with all due respect to just trying to sell something, it's kinda shitty to claim something like this...you can't buy the plastic lens from mazda or anyone else that i have ever seen. if you've seen it, please post a link or vendor, but like others have said, the tails on the rx8 are fused together and you can't buy replacement lenses. to just ballpark a price like that and claim you can buy them anywhere is a bit ridiculous.

you can let the buyers decide if it's worth it, but don't make such a wild claim and mislead buyers.

^ very true i just looked into it and called a buddy at the mazda dealership and the lens is fused just like the s1 so you would have to go through a LOT to replace it even IF you find just a lens ... also the s2 lights will not fit an s1 without a significant amount of work

wassup rod-j!! how's the car doing?

thanks for calling that in. i posted that and then felt like a dick in the slim chance that the series 2 was made differently.

i thought i saw a pic of someone that did the conversion. it's definitely not a plug and play, i think it even overhangs a bit along the bottom.

hey, maybe someone WITH a series 2 will just need a replacement lens
