R3 front bumper preferably in red

Small front end collision. Need a new bumper and grill and the fog light surround and bracket. Would love to not need paint work. I can get a brand new bumper from Mazda for $350 sprayed for $450 so please don’t offer me a painted bumper for $1500. There’s a seller on eBay asking $1700. As if these are impossible to find lol.

from Mazda you get a fully stripped, bare front bumper that isn’t model specific for that, all the other parts add up to a lot more money

for people selling an actual R3 front bumper that’s likely the difference because they sell them with all the unique R3 parts included that then define it as being model specific.

most people aren’t selling a used, but perfect front bumper stripped, but maybe you’ll luck out

.

Yep, I remember before I bought an R3 I was researching costs for an R3 conversion in case I couldn’t find the R3 model. The bare bones parts themselves aren’t that expensive it’s when you buy all the additional fittings necessary for attachment that shoots the cost up. GL to ya!

The things I need specifically are the center grill, one of the fog light surrounds, and the plastic bumper cover. Nothing else is damaged and the bumper it’s self is barely not reparable the fence bit a small area and made a small triangle shaped rip. The rest of the bumper it fine everything underneath is fine. So total for the parts I need before paint from Mazda (with a slight discount due to having family working at the dealership) ~$359 for the bumper, ~$35 for the grill, and ~$27 for the fog light surround. And I think ~$7 for the plugs that go in the grill over the tow hook hole which I feel should come with the grill but don’t lol. If I can’t find a bumper for a reasonable price with or with out the necessary bits I’ll go that route. The R3 bumper it’s self is different than the basic bumper it’s not just the bits that make it different. The most expensive part is the “front spoiler” which I just got the odula one ordered in carbon for almost the same price as oem.

Well I looked at the Mazda parts fiche and couldn’t see any different designation on the bare bumper stating whether it’s an R3 or not, but maybe I just missed it. Regardless, imo you’re just going to be better off getting the OEM parts from Mazda rather than trying to save a few bucks.

I had a similar situation wanting to buy R3 sideskirts. Everyone wants premium pricing even if they’re damaged, missing installation hardware, etc. Since I have an S1 they have to be painted regardless. So for the cost difference between new OEM that I get discounted through the Mazda Motorsports racer program it makes zero sense to buy a busted up, incomplete used set. If you decide you want to replace your sideskirts to match your carbon spoiler though lmk, lol.
