ok spend days looking (body kit)
Chris, you should understand that some products are hyped and some are hated. Look at everyone who has a S2000 or a 350Z - they hate RX-8s and yet many of those people have either never driven one or never owned one. Some people don't even like Mazda cars period because they are just that - a Mazda.
I hope people will take your remarks with a grain of salt, it's ignorant of you to assume all kits are **** unless you buy them directly from Mazdaspeed or a ridiculously expensive place. You don't know my body kit, and you don't know how it fits, and you don't know how it looks in person at all. My kit is a low cost kit that looks great, fits perfect and is durable - so we clearly have different meanings for **** and you clearly have no room to speaking having never seen my kit. It's in your best interest, so that you do not sound so ignorant, to speak on behalf of only those products you've actually installed on your car - and you haven't installed my particular Duraflex kit so I would suggest you not categorize them with low end, crappy kits.. it really doesn't make you look smart & it doesn't help people to read a review from someone who doesn't have the product.
I understand you want to help steer people away from getting ripped off on a low end kit & I understand you've been on the forums for a long time, but it doesn't benefit anyone to make an assumption about a product and state it as if you are 100% sure that what you say is true.

wow you type allot.....you apparently dont know who i am, havent seen how many people i have helped get kits, havent been around to read many or any of my posts.....to call me ignorant is well....ignorant.....i have seen the knock off of your kit and i have seen the real thing...i know the difference....i have personally seen over 20 kits for the RX-8 go on to members cars here and i can tell you which kit has specific flaws and where....the kits i mentioned are what they are....****....and most people actually take what i say to heart because i know what im talking about...just got to the aftermarket body kit section and read around....try searching extreme dimension, carbon creations and duraflex.....you will see many reviews on just how shitty they are...so stop spreading nonsence because no one wants to hear it
To start, I didn't type a whole lot but I did use proper capitalization and complete sentences.
You're entitled 100% to your opinion, I'm not spreading nonsense as I never told anyone to buy a Duraflex body kit or any other - I only said that in my personal experience my fitment was perfect and I haven't encountered any problems.
I really do not care if people buy a top of the line kit or bottom of the line kit, it is their choice and all I can do is say yes this 1 particular brand worked fine for me. All you can say is "I've known people who have had problems with it" and are a self acclaimed expert.. Any opinion on a forum should be taken with a grain of salt, mine, yours, everyone's.
I'm not here to argue with you, just wanted to make a statement that I didn't have any problems with my kit.

I'm still waiting for pics of the duraflex hawtness, if it was such a great deal and looks all perfect then put your camera where your keyboard is...or somethin'
, Take some high res up close pics of the gaps etc., let's see how many waves are in the bumpers, I'd love to see it, **** man, if you scored a knockoff that actually works then you should be investing heavily in lotto tickets as that's the kind of luck that would probably win you something
I'm 10000% with Chrism here, knockoffs are garbage, I have 2 issues with knockoff kits and the companies that ruin cars with them.
1. Fitment, materials used, and overall quality are crap, plain and simple. To produce a quality, well crafted and engineered product costs money. There's lots of R&D that goes into developing a bodyklt such as multiple molds and test fittings, all this and the hours it take to do it properly cost a load of dough. When you see a company selling a kit that costs the end consumer hundreds of dollars less than the real deal, that should raise a huge red flag, as that means they had to cut corners somewhere, and that's not internet opinion, that's just simple logical fact of the matter bidness. Who knows where they cut the corners either, could be the material used, could be the fitment, could be anything, hell, most of the time it's both so why take a chance?
2. My other beef with these people is that they're thieves, they're ripping people off and profiting from other people's hard work and ideas. These types of companies are a stain on the customizing industry, they do far more damage than good. How can anyone advocate supporting thieves? These are fly by night operations only out for a quick buck, they don't support the sport, they do nothing but leech off of it and rip people off (and other legit business). The advantages of taking the time to just save up a little more and buy from legit established companies far outweigh any benefit of buying a knock off, it's been discussed a million times on here and elsewhere, and the answer is ALWAYS going to be the same, quality costs money, simple fact of life. I've been involved in customizing, modding, tuning, or whatever the next hip word is for about 20 years now, my opinions were formed by my hands-on true to life competition and car show experience, I'm not just spouting off or talking out of my *** in other words so take that for what it's worth.

damn, i think it will be alot longer than i expected to choose a kit lol so many choices , so many opinions. im going to do some browsing and get back to you guys thnks
And then of course there's AutoExe for whom we are the cheif supplier on this forum with the cheapest prices available. There is a BRAND NEW kit called SE-03C for the revised RX8 (09 in the US). There is a version of this kit also available for the original car. Right now there aren't any pics of that one up. This is probably the sharpest thing out there in my biased opinion.
Here's a peak on AutoExe's site. I'll have pics and prices on my site soon.

Here's the SE-03 kit on my site (Not the same as SE-03C) on my site:

ok i searched and found some stuff i can give insight on.....the drivers side corner is too far off (looks from the pic more than 1 mm) on fitment, under your healight there is already some signs of sagging, its also wavy, your side skirts are also wavy and far from straight looking.....the rear on the passenger side looks absolutely terrible where the fake meets the real and these are just judgements from bad low res pics....if you really want to proove your case then take some pics of where the oem panels meet the kit....and take higher res pics that you can upload to a photobucket account and not as an attachment here......also how much of an expert can you claim to be when you were asking for advice not too long ago about whether or not you should use hoodpins.....you ask for advice before but now you question us when we give it to others?.....cmon man.....seriously

eerg..i have been talkin with the companies all day and i have came up with this, intensemotorsports.com is a good company but they never have anything in stock and they cost almost double than body-kit.com,,,and body-kit.com has better prices , not sure on the quality but they do not offer a return policy so im still stuck i think i will be better off with a sharpie and spray paint and draw little smiley faces all over my 8 lol
dude why wont you just pay attention and stop wasting your time with these cheap knock off companies?...talk to a forum vendor or go to a reputable shop...if you dont have the money to buy properly then you will have to pay for it when you install it....either way you will not benefit unless you get a decent kit...unless you dont care what your car looks like and want it to be cheap and good enough...try some of these spots
