Taint really that simple - if you don't already have factory nav, you probably won't be installing it.....

I think there is a thread on here where a member did this and it is stupid hard....unless you are incredibly good with this, I'd go with one of those portable units or get the metra kit and put in a different head unit

I have the navi with my 2004 it was like some 1000 bucks orignally and is now out of date. Runs off DVD (SLOW). Best would be to get the tray for the dash and make your own using a tom tom or nuvi.
