you're right he doesn't. the perfomance is similar as the compressor wheels push close to the same lb/min. I would actually say the 60-1 turbo is better suited for the reneses as it moves more air at a lower pressure ratio. Been a while since I have compared compressor maps but I think that's what I recall.

 

I've been running a BNR turbo for going on 3 years ... In that time I've had to have him rebuild it once. His fee was minimal (cost more to overnight it) and I've gotten more time on #2.

The water jacket is very good and helps. The upgraded WG bracket is good too (I can run as high as 14 psi).

But the power is still nothing compared to MMs hair dryer.

How much power did he make? I know hat he claimed, just wondered what you saw. I always wondered because the one guy in Austin here that had it only made 300WHP ish.

 

350ish. Any idea where the Austin guy was pre-turbo? There's a crazy swing in NA #s. Maybe his was built on a Friday afternoon

He still had work to do too. Not sure where they ended on that one.. Meth setup.

With that said Jeff's weld work on the setup looked alot like that butcher job Elliott did on those mounts he made.

 

I have no clue, he was one of the ones who waited like a year or two for it and by the time he got it he kind of lost his excitement for the whole project and when the results were less than he expected after getting the tune sorted he parted out. He also did not dyno with other 8's so who knows how accurate the results were.
