dude if you dont need a stock mazda cat, you should get the high flo racing cat from summit racing. they are only $169 as long as you dont live in CA, they wont ship here. they have all applications from 2" to 3" but i just put one on my car last week and i am so happy with it. if sound isn't all that important and want real hp gains, forget getting an exhaust first. its just way too much money for hp gains you wont really feel or get used to really quick. i used to have an exhaust and it is no where near the hp gains from headers, high flo cat, and at least a drop in air filter. i would go with those first before the exhaust.

As for the bumper, i will have to get back to you on that. I'm looking for something with zero damage and with the gt lip package.

As for the cat, i already have an aftermarket one but its getting too hot and the welding broke so theres a leak i need to get fixed. The cat is turning purple on the outside to...So i was just thinking of getting a new one. Do you by chance know the stock piping diameter so i can get the right application for the car?

Im not really looking for hp ganis on the obx muffler just a better sound thats all. I went on youtube and thought it was the best sounding exhaust. The only way i would want more speed and hp would be a turbo.

hey ghermangsr, i believe its the PowerFlo racing cat on Summit Racing. i think if you search for things under a mazda rx-8, it should come up in the exhaust or catalyic converter section. i'll try to find the item number for you but i believe the stock exhaust piping is 2.5" diameter. i myself have the 3" version since i have headers and midpipe and had them weld the racing cat to the midpipe. it works really well and it is extremely durable. you will never have to worry about it getting to hot and/or melting metal in your tubing anywhere.
