The problem with these are that the warranty is only valid for the original owner. From experience, after having many replaced under warranty, it is very important. Konis have been notorious for developing leaks.

^ Did you make it your duty to point out universal cons on sellers posts to prove a point somehow? People can find the information about a product whenever they desire. If you want to point things out that YOU as an individual have experienced, then do it on a non-selling post.

Very true - let people make informed decisions on their own purchases...
This is for sale section...not product reviews
These are brand new in box shocks - this is a great deal on Koni Yellows!
GLWS!

Now people can make an INFORMED decision and pay what these are worth to them. Were you hoping that no one would point out the facts? You should not try to recoup your losses by taking advantage of someone's ignorance.

You should take all sale negotiations to PM.

RX8Club Rules for the Classifieds state: - "No thread crapping. If you think something is over priced the seller will usually figure this out pretty quickly."

While this isn't about price, I still believe it is "Thread Crapping". It is spoiling the sale of the sale of item, in the same way a post about price would. It is also something a person should know or could look up if such an issue is important to them.

this issues debatable. For example, i did not know the warranty does not get carried over. Thank you whoever pointed it out and i personally think the seller should point out things like that. If im selling a bumper or any parts for that matter that has a tiny scratch or defect somewhere, i would let the person know. But not everyone will do that just to avoid losing the sale.

I for one like the idea of peeps letting me know before hand. ie in the sell post. Why should I have to do so much research just to find out?

Seller should disclose all info same as disclosing whats wrong/condition of sell item.
Should be one of the requirements to post item.
To me it is not post crapping. but then again I am not a mod.

I bought front and rear Konis Yellow from forum member back in 09. One is dead. No warranty because warranty only covers original buyer. AND one needs proof of car ownership. Sucks.

Wish I had known before I had bought.

Now I have to buy a new front Koni at $129.
Oops, now on sale for 98 bucks each.

Either way, GLWS, op

I dont understand, you will still make a killer buy on these even if you dont have a warranty. Quit all your bitching. Bump this should have been a good sale for izzy but ******** like you cough*high flying 8 cough* have to point straight negatives in someones sale thread. Its not like izzy put a damn leak in one of the shocks anyway(not saying he ever did) but thats your problem to face. And besides you (high flying 8) never even stated how many miles were on your shocks! they could have 200k miles on them then of coarse they might leak! And I haven't found a billion reviews on these leaking as much as you project them to. So quit shitting on someone elses property... Thats just wrong.

Fickert, I can't agree with you more.

This should STILL BE a quick sale.
Just because of a couple people having bad reviews on this forum doesn't mean the thousands of RX8s using them are all having the same issues....
USE GOOGLE FOR ONCE and research something! I've been researching suspension setups for months now...I haven't even made my decision yet!
If you're looking for good street -slight track use shocks konis will be perfect...Google their failure rates and see for yourself... these are good shocks.

Myador, I wish every sales person would tell me every little thing wrong with whatever they're selling....LOL like that would happen....the dealership wouldn't ever tell you that kind of crap!
I went on rx8club to look at common issues the rx8 had, and what to look for...I DID my research before making my purchase! So do it for yourself on aftermarket products as well!
Either way, aren't koni yellows rebuildable?!

GLWS!

Sold for $375 to a local RX-8 owner. I just want to say thank you to those of you who respected my post while it was posted. It's a great feeling to know that there are still those with a sense of opportunity and selfless-service.

CHEERS ALL!
