sorry about waiting so long for the pics; i am having a midterm exam tmr, so i will post the pics up tmr night for sure; the reason why i am selling is that my car stalled due to carbon build up on the intake manifold about half year ago; I still had bumper to bumper warranty at that time and i didnt want them to void it cuz of my aftermarketing intake, so i swapped back to stock. after that, i never had time to swap it, plus i didnt want to. but whoever wants it, i have an instruction on my computer, so that i can send it to them first.

I don't want to discourage anyone from buying it, but if you do, please put a heat shield around it. Our engine bays get really hot, and hot air is not good for your engine. I would go for a CAI instead.

?????????there is nothing to do with the intake system...dont u guys know that our rotary engine produces a lot carbon build up so it is suggested to redline ur engine often......the reason why my engine stalled is because of the carbon build up from the engine. nothing will come from the intake except air and dust.........more info can be found from internet, do some search....

same thing with the stock intake box and it is plastic which translates more heat than aluminum. u cant avoid hot air coming through ur intake system for a short ram intake, and our stock intake was built as a short ram too, & some popular intakes like K&N, RB and so on. CAI is a way to go but CAI is not perfect either. the most popular CAI like aem and ms, their filter is under the engine bay so that everything will probably be sucked. what if it sucks enough amount of water to cause ur engine die???? the near perfect way is to get the combination of RB duct and a short ram intake.

- Aluminum lowers any chance of the system rusting, and it's lighter than steel

- Plastic absorbs some of the sound energy the inlet duct

- Whether or not an inlet system is made from aluminum, steel or plastic, the thermal conductivity of the duct material has little effect on engine power

- The rate at which air travels through the inlet path under open throttle, when one is asking the engine for maximum power, negates the effect of material heat soak

Actually the AEM and MS CAI filters end up between the radiator and the bumper, in front of the battery (makes an L shape going forward then left (towards passenger side)). I don't think you'll pick up much hot air there.

pm'ed back;
our OEM intake box is also a cold air intake;
if u look at the design, the SR intake directly fits into the open area at the front of it. but it is not as true as those CAI on the market like AEM and MS.
