What software comes with it? With wiring is anything else needed at all? Does this hook into the engine also via ODBC or ?? What OS is the PC running? Does it need any additional hardware at all? Have you installed this to your car? If so non issues or any "bugs"?

Thank you,

Brian

it has windows xp, running roadrunner as the interface,

the main thing to buy to finish is the audio interface to the stock radio, and a usb gps if you want to use it for nav and the gps software.
if you want to replace all the software with something Id suggest using Centrafuse

it does not have a usb obd2 scanner you go go to mp3car fourms and they also ahve some good recommendations ( i have a scanguageII that i use so was no need for me, which i am keeping)

radio interface i was gonig to buy
http://www.car2pc.com/
buygpsnow site has the usb gps for cheap, i have a bluetooth one but its semi anoying where you have to turn it on, i can throw this in for free if desired. it has a 5 hr battery life span with auto off realy accurate

i have never acturaly installed, ill do a test fit in my car with the screen, i am still waiting on one peice before i can ship it. the only issue to me is that th only good place to put the computer is in the trunk which involved buying vga extension cables and a usb extension (for the touch screen )

Hi,

More questions (sorry ).

Liliput touch screen
What sub model (Number) and what model year is the monitor?
What type of processor on the motherboard and what speed?
With power does it need a converter or ???
Is the nav hood functioning with closing and opening as it would normally on a stock unit?
On other nav hoods I have seen the open and tilt buttons right above the mounting brackets mounted in the plastic, does yours (I didn't see them)?

I am sorry to ask a lot but want to be sure.

I appreciate it,

Brian

its a manual you open the hood and pull the screen up

the procesor is a atom 1.6ghz places video easily (surprisingly hdtv to o_O not included ^_^ )

it needs no converter it has a dc to dc powersupply which you hook to the 12volt line and the ground plus a accessory and that turns the computer on and off

the monitor is led back light (pictures are blury because of the brightness diffrence)
629GL-70NP LED Backlight year 2008

feel free to ask.

Cool, I appreciate it.

If forgot to ask...

What are the dimensions of the case?

You stated "system currently running road runner". Does the PC have a wifi card?

On the back what sound outputs are there? Whoops, I see you said "only thing it needs is to be wired in and the audio interface". Does it take a full length board like a sound blaster live or what are the options?

Thanks again,

Brian

it has 3 outputs on the back which i think could be used for 5.1 o_O but the sound card is built into the mobo

by audio interface i was refering to the device to connect the pc to the head unit
i perfer the car2pc adapter its the cheapest and has the most features

as for case dimensions 58.5(H) x 259.5(W) x 186(D)
i think the most out of the way place is in the trunk as that was what i was going to do

it does not have a wifi card as i was using bluetooth to connect to my cellphone (woot for sprint), a usb wifi can be pretty cheap though

hmm lol no ^_^, i am acturaly tempted on keeping it, it was way hard to gather the parts, the dash part alone required lots of patients and probably wouldnt show up again for a long time, the software screwing around because i want road runner interface instead of another set up. setting up the screen to auto turn on with power not so hard once you are able to get in to the factory menu

it is worth far more then 600, i was jsut trying to get funds for the cost of a turbo set up

you get what you pay for when you go with a frontend like Centrafuse, extremely streamlined and easy to use.\

i have to say the parts you got there look identical to mine.. so for the price that is damn good.

the computer itself, the nav holder, and the screen for $650?! that's a steal.

i did $600 for the computer, $300 for my nav housing, and $250 for the screen.

i thought it was a steal to ^_^, anyways turbo geting boxed and sent to me on sunday, wait to long it just going to go on my car ^_^

i am to poor to afford expensive software ~_~ why i did it my way, but my god all the settings and config files, self satisfying though hah, weather is working showing me the weather for austin, i need to install the gas plugin to show me local gas station and prices but been to lazy, i have played with dash command but trying to edit it anoys me and i dont feel like buying a obd2 interface when i ahve my scan guage II that ive had for years, the camera interface work mostly but does weird stuff i think it has a config file i havent set up

the cameria can dispaly speed from the gps on screen, i need to figure out how to make it record the speed and some how get obd2 info so it cna record rpm and other info while recording video would be fun ^_^ but alot of coding
