tsx just let it be, but IMHO they wont go as fast as you think they will, stock 8 wheels are at 18x8

Great, I am glad you were kidding.

I don't know exactly what they weigh, but I would assume 22-23 lbs. A 18x9.5 weighs 25.5. I'm pretty sure you don't buy these for light weight track wheels though.

I don't expect these to sell fast honestly. With the economy the way it is, I fully expect it to take a while.

OEM 18'' wheels are at 8 inches wide... your wheels are 7.5''. That's a downgrade.

A 225 fits just as well, if not better, on a 7.5 than an 8. On an 8 it is actually a bit stretched. A better size for an 8 is a 235. So you aren't downgrading by going to a 7.5 because the tire size is exactly the same. Your tire hits the road, not the wheel. If it were a 7" wheel, then it wouldn't be that great, because then a 215 might be a better fit, and that would be a smaller tire and therefore a downgrade.

I've driven on 225s on an 8" and a 7.5" and handling is not affected by that.

btw- to post at the 3 forums, you have to have 50 posts just to make a sale thread there.

I don't understand that one. These are still Advans, so I would hardly call them less of a wheel. Maybe if they were rotas they would be cheap and less of a wheel.

I am not trying to convince myself that these will sell here, I just posted them here just to get more views on them. This isn't the only forum they are posted on, and I am not expecting them to sell here. But I can't predict the future, so I can't say for sure that I won't find a buyer here. That is why I posted them here.

The only reason I have had to do all this posting tonight is because people came in here with an elitist attitude and basically told me the wheels are crap. You guys are a lot more hostile than most of the TSX owners.

tsx, believe it or not, the RX-8 was engineered exactly for 18x8. Anything smaller than that profile will effect the handling characteristics of it. The effect of a smaller wheel (as in width, not circumference) will make it handle worse.

im sorry but we dont roll on 7.5...not tryin to be mean, advans or not, 7.5s take away from the aspect of have an rx8, anything less than 8 inches is a downgrade, its just SPECS...honda/acura owners may think different, but ive never owned a FWD car, who am i to judge?

Anyways, lets stop thread crapping, he's only trying to make a sale. He specifically stated the the dimensions and condition of the wheels. It is up to the buyer to know what he's investing in.

Like I said, I never expected it to be an easy sell. I've gone through a few parts on my car, and it is never an easy sell, no matter what the part is. I'm really not sure why I am getting all this hate in my thread. I posted up a few threads that had wheels similar in size to mine and yet there weren't people all over them.

So, with that said, these wheels aren't perfect, but they are a good deal on quality rims that can run the same size tire as your stock wheels. I would appreciate it if you guys would just respect my sale thread. Thanks.

Just curious, but have you tried 7.5s on your car to see how much worse the handling is? I went from an 18x8 235/40 to a 18x7.5 225/40 and the handling felt the same.
I don't know about other Hondas, but as for the TSX, I guess we don't look at is as a difference in handling because most people there know it doesn't make enough of a difference for it to matter. We just get wheels that look good and do their job. In the end, your choice of tires is going to have a far greater impact on the handling of your car, be it an RX-8 or a TSX, than a .5" difference in the wheel.

Hmm....TSX....were they stolen?!?! lol

I think we've said everything needed for people to make an informed decision...at this point, we should drop it and if it sells, it sells; thread crapping is against the rules so let's not get this closed.
