Apex Seals went on the vehicle. I originally was going to rebuild the used motor but decided on a 3 rotor build. I have a shop building the motor with new housings, rotors, seals, etc. Thats why I'm selling these off. I prefer someone local so I don't have to ship but will ship if someone sends payment. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Im not interested in buying at your prices and thus I'm not trying to strongarm for a better deal, so you can take this for what it's worth. Maybe it'll even get deleted but I feel like the members here have a right to know what they are buying.

That engine spun a rotor bearing and half of those parts look to be no good. All 3 iron housings have damage to the center of the face where the oil control rings ride, from metal to metal contact. The swelling damage is obvious to me even in the pics. They are not reusable at all and are scrap metal.

The 2nd/bottom rotor is the one that spun it's rotor bearing. The sides of the rotor face are also scorched and damaged, and you can even see a side seal seized in the groove and snapped in half where the disassembler tried to remove it but couldn't. Even if you can get all the old seals out of their grooves, the rotor has been rubbing the iron metal-to-metal, and the rotor seal slots will be out of spec and need significant doctoring up with sandpaper and a file/dremel to even try to be reused and fit new seals in there properly. Furthermore when a bearing spins inside a rotor it tends to chew up the inside holding surface and eat some material out of there, meaning the rotor can't always securely hold a new bearing. IF it got to that point then the rotor is useless. You can't tell without pressing the old damaged spun bearing out of the rotor to check the hole.

The other top rotor doesnt look as bad but if the iron faces all took damage then the sides of that rotor have also taken at least a little damage, and would need some sanding/filing attention prior to reuse. So even though the rotor is reusable it is devalued at least somewhat, if the buyer knows what they are getting and what they are doing.

Since we know for a fact that the engine spun a bearing, we know for a fact that the eshaft journals are damaged and no good. It is plainly visible to me, even with the dimly lit pic, that the front eshaft journal is blackened and damaged from the spun rotor bearing. IT can't be repaired effectively and is scrap metal. Even with that aside, you can get a brand new one from mazda any day of the week for $170...less than your price.

Those rotor housings do look nice with light wear, but you can get a brand new pair any day of the week for just over $1420, who would pay $1200 plus shipping for used ones from a failed bearing engine sold by someone who obviously doesnt know how to inspect rotary engine parts?

Good luck with the sale of your new apex seals, good front cover and rotor housings, and questionable single rotor, I guess.

Thank you for your opinion. Not to make any excuses this is my first time taking apart a Rotary motor. To confirm the spun bearing yes on the rear rotor. You can see it on the eccentric shaft. Like I said in the first post I'm selling all parts since I'm buying everything brand new. I've adjusted the prices and posted some of the parts on eBay.

I would be cautious buying anything from this motor. As Kevin pointed out there are issues with most of the parts...and very careful inspection would be needed before they would be useable in an engine build
