FS; toyo r888 race tires with stock oem wheels

I have a set of 265 35 18 toyo r888 track autox tires on stock oem wheels with tpms. All mounted and balanced, 600 dollars for the set. I was 3 sec faster on these than my new direzza z1 at vir. I am in ct.

I am going with 17s, so I am going to sell the 18s

How much life is left in the tires? Condition of rims? Pictures?

Heat cycles and pics?

Depending on which end of Ct. and condition of items, I'll drive for pick-up in my DD with cash in hand. Alz0rs can vouch I'm that nutz.

He posted a thread about a month ago trying to sell the tires in question I believe. Shouldn't be too hard to find.

265 wide on the stock rims?

I'd be very careful with that.

On the downside, sounds like the sidewalls are a bit "pinched" and not as well supported as a 8.5" or 9" rim would provide.

On the upside, it'd be hell to "curb" the rims with those donuts.

Whatever the best offer is, just something reasonable. Two tires don't have a lot left, but they are soft and have grip left. The other two should have plenty of days left as long as you flip them. They look white because the car was parked in an unpaved pit area, but no punctures or anything. THe rims have TPMS to it.

Yes I agree the tires should be on a 9" rim, but these tires were left over from my Corvette. Rather than losing it, why not use it? The RX-8 is so easy on tires that I can easily get multiple weekends on them
I don't have it ready yet, but I can show you these tires were 3 sec faster than my brand new Dunlop Direzza Z1 per lap at VIR. I don't like this setup for the following reasons

#1 On a slow car like the RX-8, I need to buy Hoosiers or BFGs to keep up with other cars. I need every advantage I can find!
#2 I personally don't like to use 2nd gear. These tires are almost the same as stock size, so a little bit too tall for my liking. I would prefer to find a smaller tire, that way it can get me off the slow corners in 3rd without bogging a little.
#3 To be honest, I think these tires are too big for the stock power level. It just has way too much grip, I think it's actually hurting my times.
