Do you know off hand how the weight of this compares to the factory hood? I know some aftermarket carbon hoods weigh more than the OEM aluminum units. If it's lighter I am interested.

Unfortunately I did not weigh the hood before installation. If the purchase is really dependent on actual weight, I'm sure you can contact RE directly for an answer.
