Is the dash pod the one you can tape on the existing? Or do you have to cut the piece out?

It sits on top. But i beieve you would need to cut a space for the wires.

if that is the lotek gauge pod, i have it and I had to cut a big hole in the top of the dash so the gauges can recess down in, rather simple process actually, but afterwards your stuck with it...
