TX Dead RP supercat

Category: Engine - Exhaust
Price: $75
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Part Fits (you may select multiples): Series I
Location (US State/Canada/Int): TX
Item Condition: New

All I know is that it's on my car right now, smells like it works, but throws a code.

I want it gone- RP said it'd cost $200 to weld their new catalytic unit onto it.

Located in north dallas.

Thanks devlin, I might have to take you up on that if anyone buys this thing. Lol.

Lol and wankel, there's no code for ME, I'm just describing the condition of the pipe for customers.

I was thinking of getting a mid pipe, this may work, but why does it need to be welded?

Right now, the only thing wrong with it is that the catalytic converter part of it isnt functioning as it should.
You could always just stick this pipe on for free-er flowing exhaust.

However, if you wanted a fully functioning high-flow cat, then RP said they'd weld a good catalytic converter in place of this one for $200

Ravioli -

- You got no check engine light with it ever? I am asking more about how well design worked.
- Is it 3" piping like RB, BHR etc?
- How noisy was it? It has no resonator like BHR.

Thanks!

No, it throws a CEL, like I said up there, 'but throws a code'.
It throws a CEL because the catalytic converter portion of it isnt performing as well as it should.
RP will weld a new one on.

It is 3" piping. http://www.rx7.com/store/rx8/rx8exhaust.html is the link for it.
Even if you spend 100 bucks on this pipe and 200 for the new cat from RP, you're still saving 100 dollars because a new pipe from RP is 400.

It has no resonator. Can be raspy at times, but not as loud or distinct as for say, an agency power midpipe.
