CA 4 new OEM ignition coils from Mazmart in unopened UPS box

Category: Engine - Electrical
Price: $185
Private or Vendor Listing: Private Listing
Location (US State/Canada/Int): CA
Item Condition: New

Had a hell of a day yesterday...complete with irony! The local Mazda dealership calls in the afternoon to tell me my engine is done, and then later in the evening, UPS delivers my ignition coils from Mazmart.

I've decided to sell my car as is, so I don't have a need for ignition coils anymore. My order was processed on January 6, 2011, but because of some confusion at Mazmart, the coils only arrived yesterday (Jan 25). I paid $172 for the set of 4 ($43 each) + $12.98 UPS ground shipping = $184.98 total. I was lucky because I got my order in JUST before the price for coils went up nationally yet again. Within 48 hours of each other (between Jan 5 and Jan 7) both Mazmart and Rosenthal Mazda (aka finishlineperformance.com) raised their prices. Mazmart is now at $185 for a set of 4 ($46.25 each) + $12.98 UPS ground shipping to the Los Angeles area = $197.98 total. Rosenthal is now at $187.80 for a set of 4 ($46.95 each) + $17.12 UPS ground shipping to the Los Angeles area = $204.92 total.

I believe not trying to make a profit is the right thing for me to do. I can show proof of what I say in the form of a PayPal email/invoice and UPS tracking info showing date/time of delivery. I've posted a pic of the unopened box with Mazmart business card visible.

I prefer a local pickup in person (Los Angeles area) and paid in cash. The lucky person will get to open the box and inspect the coils.

* To clarify, the price is $184.98, which is exactly what I paid.

* Also, these are the updated ignition coils, as one would expect, with part no. N3H1-18-100B-9U.

* Let me reiterate that I prefer a local pickup (Los Angeles area) in person and paid in cash.

Thanks for the response. Hope you enjoy and take care of your car, which I did...except that I tried to drive it a little too long with coolant leaking. Turns out it was just a hose. I learned a lesson.

I would love to but how do I collect money from you without Paypal? I'm just not comfortable with Paypal. Any ideas?

At any rate, are you willing to pay for the shipping? I believe US Postal Service would be the cheapest. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, setsuwa and I have tentatively agreed to meet up locally for a sale price of $180 on Friday early afternoon.

So there is still 1 or 2 days for someone to win these coils over. I am not looking to make a profit, just to hit even.

Along these lines, the FIRST person to bid $184.98 (exactly what I paid) gets the coils. No back and forth.

Come on, it's not going to get any better than this for OEM coils. Number 1: Mazmart and dealership prices for the OEM coils continue to increase and the reality is those prices are not coming down. Number 2: these are absolutely brand new in an UNOPENED UPS parcel box from Mazmart.

Just found out because I did not open the box, UPS will send it back to Mazmart free of charge. Mazmart has agreed to give me a full refund, probably because of the long delay and confusion during processing.

So this Monday, I will drop off the package at UPS. Which means if anyone is even thinking about buying OEM coils, it might be a great idea to think about the opportunity here and now: OEM coils in an UNOPENED box from Mazmart at a price that we'll never see again!
