Anything you are looking for off it or just giving me ideas on selling? Anyway thanks for the bump.
Engine will remain in the car for test drives until someone buys the engine or trans, If you drive it you wont believe the compression numbers it has.
The guy I got the car from (dealer) said the guy that traded it in had a engine put in it a few years ago and a new tranny was put in at his last oil change (2000k ago) supposedly the guy loved the car but just needed a 4x4 when moving from NC to upstate NY.

So you better off break the engine apart and sell them piece by piece.
At least if the engine is not blown I'm fairly sure both rotors, E-shaft, Front and Rear stationary gears would still be good. you should be able to get couple hundred bux back from that. then depend on the rest of the part's condition you can probably get back the 1K target that you were looking for.
You're in Rhode Island ? Did you try to get Mazda to replace the engine ? in case you don't know 2004-2009 RX-8 has 8 years / 100K mile engine warranty. if the compression is 25 psi that's more than enough to get you one.

Good idea. Just say it gets bad mpg and you checked compression and found it was low.
You can get all the free engines you require if you are within warranty. It's not one and done. 25psi is extremely low and I'd imagine it would run like utter crap. I'm afraid you did the compression test wrong.
Yep, you can get as many replacement engine as you want ---- as long as you have proven maintenance record.
if the car is not apart *yet* you can try your luck and get a replacement at Mazda --- THEN you part the engine out right away and I'm fairly sure you can get at least 2 grand out of it. Hell I probably pay u 2 grand to get it.
*free bump*
