Someone had been asking about stripes and we have one at Mazda South so I snapped a few shots today.
It also had some nice looking wheels on it. Not sure which brand but I can find out if anyone is interested.

would've been better if they continued down in the rear and each stripe was a little thicker...even then i probably wouldn't like em...nice try tho but racing stripes just aren't in anymore

I don't care for them either. I just don't think stripes fit this car. I do like the wheels though so I will take some better pics tomorrow and post what brand they are in case anyone in interested.

without the stripes from the front end the RX8 looks similar to a "viper" (as a friend have told me) and definitely putting on those stripes will make it a viper. I WISH!

When I got back from vacation, I walked into my showroom and about passed out. My yellow RX-8 that I had but a nice set of Enkie wheels on, now looked like a bumblebee! While I was gone , some vendor talked the sales mgr into putting stripes on a couple of 8's. These stripes are too thin and too far apart. Had they been like the ones on the Ford GT, they might have been better. They did a red with white stripes that were a little bit wider and it looked much better. To make matters worse, they put them over the clear bra I had on the car. The wheels I got from Dealer Accents and exchanged out the stock wheels giving me a net of just under $600 for the set. The stock pressure sensors worked fine on these wheels. I had them chrome the stock wheels and replaced another set of stock wheels and they netted at $900. Since we can't get the polished wheels anymore, it's more cost effective than ordering the factory chromes.

I thought you knew who I am. No it's not my car in the owner sense, but all the 8's on the lot are like my kids. I know I shouldn't get so attached to them, they are just hunks of metal, but they all do have personalities. That sounds kind of sick doesn't it. Oh well, It's still the best vehicle we've ever had and I still get a smile every time I drive one!

I thought that story sounded a little too familiar.
