I picked up my 2005 RX8 last week. Only two left in Albuquerque. The dealer said that the plant in Japan that makes the RX8 was re-tooling to make 2006 models.
Does anyone know how many 2005 models were made?

 

Welcome to the club. My question to you is what kind of rims are those? They don't look like the stock rims. They look a bit like the MS rims though.

Aha ... I knew they were too small to be MS 18's!! I've never seen the stock Auto rims before.

thats a nice looking 8, but you definatley gotta do something about those wheels. ive only seen 2 sets of those in person, one was at an auto show (why would mazda give their cheapest 8 to show off?) and the other was a dirty one with some idiot woman driving (she almost hit us...)

I got to see a white up close for the first time this weekend and I must say if I didn't already have one white car I'd be damn jealous that my 8 isn't white also. Good choice.

 

Here is a couple of pics of my white 2005 RX8! This color is great! For racing or street you can not go wrong with white. It is a very flexible color!

 

Congrats!! I also went with the whitewater pearl mica. White cars are just so.....yummy!!! Im just jealous that I cant take any pics yet. Stupid lack of a digi cam Anyway, enjoy the ride and good luck with break in.

I can't seem to get enough of the white 8. I never see them on the road (in Miami) and have yet to see one in person (except for the auto show). As someone else asked... those wheels are the base 16's. The 18's definitely look much better, but you might want to consider aftermarket wheels .
