well. this could have been a very insightful discussion. yeah.
what the **** does JDM mean??? any defnition?
as far as i know, somebody said JDM= just damn messed up. this is a good definition. i like it. the other one that is completely jdm is HONDA TYPE R. screw that. before we can discuss, we need to know what does JDM mean??

 

JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market....basicaly the stock, OEM parts in Japan for a car.

I dont know why so many people get so defensive or attack other.....some people like lots of chrome, some people like wild body kits, some people like big 22" rims....ect, differnt people have different taste.

The way I see it : JDM doesnt mean a certain part, or parts.....it doesnt stand for making your car look like ____ car from japan...its not about re-badging or swaping to RHD. Its a look, i dont think its right to ever stereotype, but there is a certain way people modify their cars in japan. Its differnt from how they do it in europe or the us...ect. I like that look. So far I have a few Mazdaspeed parts, that dosent mean im going all mazdaspeed, or staying with just OEM stuff. I have a way I want my car to look....and thats what im doing. I say JDM cause that is where I get a lot of my ideas for mods and stuff.

I dont try to act JDM, I dont eat sushi cause I think it will make me more JDM. I just say JDM cause its a way to explain a lot of my mods and where my ideas come from.

I dont want pics of stock cars, i have a stock car... i could just look at that. I'm talking about JDM "style" JDM aftermarket parts, hardcore drift/Hiroshima, Nagasaki ****.

alright, when you start your new thread, why don't you be the first one to post pics, espescially after your long and arduous search of the internet

 

I'm seriously beginning to wonder if you should have to pass a test or something to be allowed to post thrreads, doesn't anyone know how to search anymore? And yeah the car has been out since 03, but parts didn't really start showing up for it until mid to late 04 and then you factor in how long it takes for someone to actually obtain it and install it etc.. and you're looking at maybe 1.5 years worth of cars, there was a thread a while back that had pics from a catalog that had all the different bodykits in it, it's probably out there somewhere...but again.....you might want to try.........searching for it....really all this thread consists of is a person too lazy to do any looking on their own, and a bunch of people giving opinions on what jdm is, it all coudl have been avoided with a little more work on the OP's part.

 

1st of all do you post pics of all the rx-8 pics you have on your HD? someone may have rx-8s that someone else posted long ago, from a local meet, car show, etc.

i've searched but some of the pics that people posted are hosted and not downloaded as an image attachment and pics show up as red X's.

I dont get what all the arguing is for? why is it a touchy subject.

I love my 8, but when i go to honda-tech... **** i almost wet my pants looking at how those are hooked up. Just looking for some that are styled the same way.

ok, but I agree... the s2k has been out a while and the JDM aftermarket parts is heavy... and less heavy on the 8.
