MazdaManiac, you have the same long commute as myself. Although instead of just rolling over, I do have to walk 10 feet to get to my office.

Here's were my 8 sleeps all day and night. I of course wake her up now and again to stretch her legs.

We have a parking structure and the spaces arent too narrow, but I park on an end spot where my driver's door would hit the passenger door of the car next to me. Since it's all solo drivers at work, the car next to me will open on the opposite side.

The rear parking lot sees less traffic, so I typically park back there.

I do believe I see an intake sticking out there.... ;-)

(those oil drops are not mine) hehe

I park inside the secured carpark at work. Its not too bad except the trees drop twigs and leaves all over your car.

And little ratbags that throw rocks over the fence

I am an office manager; so I decide who parks at my company's 150-car parking lot. I picked mine on the corner which protect my car's one side as no one can park. I also assigned the next spot to my colleague who has not yet bought a car (he is planning to buy a car in the future; but, I doubt he will). So, basically, no car is going to park next to mine.

i work at a grocery store and i park all the way at the top of the lot... away from every car, custiomer, and shopping cart. i don't mind the walk down the lot, and i can always keep an eye on my 8 when i look out the store's windows. i've parked there for years (with my MX-6, now with my RX-8) and have never had a problem. i'll get a pic next time i go in.

When I do need to take my car in to work (the days the wifey has the truck) I park, well, um...away from everybody else, lol.

Where do you park at work?-faraway.jpg

See, my car was hit on the front drivers side fender 7 days after I took home, so now I don't care if i have to park on the friggin roof, I park WELL AWAY from everybody else. and if it fills up, I know I am parked between the spot and the wall, so it gives my car plenty of clearance.

I park in the far part of a lot, but people will still pull in next to me, even with lots of open space around. The end spots are under trees, so the car gets crapped up there.
The office window needs cleaning.

I park in the President of the company's spot, it's a shame that I don't have his wage
(I work evenings, and the day I see the pres after 1700 is the day I'm fired lol)

Most of the people at work have parked at the same spot all the time. I park next to another solo driver and all covered up (when not raining). The $30 car cover from Costco has worked well for me so far.

Once I get the hang of putting on and taking off the cover, it takes about a couple of minutes. However when it gets windy...Forget it. just get it in the trunk and worry about it later..

I work at a commissary on sundays (another military reference) and i'd park away from the usual crowd. A few months ago someone keyed my car so I park kinda closer along the shrubs. I figure i'd rather clean bird poop than get keyed.

During the week at my real job I also park away from the crowd. One time I parked next to my coworker's Audi TT and she dinged my door right on the crease. So now I always try to park a couple of spaces away from the next car that might be in my territory.
