I'll host the vid on my domain later. I don't think it was an AT dmp, it had the typical high rev launch of an M/T. It did come close to the RX-7 up to the end of the line so I don't believe that 16 sec time posted.

I counted about 13 seconds from the time the RX8 left, until the time where he enters the traps. I'd say that was a mid 14 second run. - if that was the end of the course. Frankly, there's NO way that RX7 was THREE seconds in front of the RX8. Where did you find somebody claiming 16.6 for the 8?

LOTS of tire spin for the 8.

Stock 8 wasn't going to beat it anyway.... I think it's representative of most who would gun it, shave another 1.5 if you know what your doing... maybe another .7 if you launch really well..

Yeah, in this case it's 50 lbs per sticker not 50HP.

It's Good Friday. I'm feeling a little giving, so I'll spare you the reading--Someone there posted that the cameraman should have told the 'dipshit with the big head' in front of the camera to move out of the way. The guy who shot the video replied with something to the effect of, "That's my son, you dipshit." It kind of dragged on from there.

Today, I passed an RX-7 as if it were standing still.

Of course, it was standing still -- sitting on the shoulder with a battery charger.

(I would have stopped to help, but someone else was already there.)

 

Lets see them do a 1/4 mile worth of twisty turns and see who comesout on top of that

 

My vote is the RX7 would win there too.
