use 800 grit, 1200 grit, 2000 grit sandpaper.

then use a polishing compound.

I didnt use any sand paper, but I wash and wax my car by myself. And every time I wax my car, I wax the head light too.
It may help a bit~
mine is 2004, the oldest ^^

After all this time - running my headlamps and those yellow lights nearly 100% of the time, while driving, I've lost one. Going with the cheaper $12/pair (after shipping) from the link elsewhere in this thread.

I spare my expensive HIDs by rewiring the fogs so they switch on and off independently of the headlights. That makes a inexpensive, low-current-drain way of having DRLs and looks cool too. Here's the best DIY I've found for that:

So - seems i was wrong. one of the connectors came un-plugged. So, after 3 years, of near-constant-use-while-driving, the bulbs are working great!
