i just did an evening at Bedford autodrome, and boy it rained like crazy for about 20 mins which put the 'dampers' (hoho) on things.
Obviously the biggest **** there was driving a BMW. Quelle surprise!

I use Yokohama Advan Sport tyres which seem very good so far.

Do you use the A048 too?

No Advan Sports. Its their top performance road tyre. The A048 is the road legal semi slick I believe, designed mainly for motorsports.

They have a new sport semi slick coming out to take on the Toyo 888, as the A048 is a very high quality (and so quite expensive) compound. The new one should be very good (according to Yokohama anyway!)

Yes...keep scrubbing on streets for a while. R-comps will allow you to get away with too much and potentially give you bad habits.

When you do decide to go R-comp, if you want to use Toyos I recommend the RA1s...the 888s are good, but they don't last near as long (maybe 6-7 heat cycles). The RA1s will stay sticky all the way to the cords...once the 888s flare on you they are toast...even if they have plenty of tread left.

S2000 is a strange breed. If you take them on a track that suits them it's hard to keep their pace!
Then add some fast turns and you will have to laugh!
