^ +1

Track without helmet is not a good idea,

Good run, but still can have some improvement on the lines/APEX
If you get the right APEX,
and try to use the whole track as much as you can, (out-in-out)
you still can have at least another 2~4 sec improve, good work!

and yes there's lot of room for improvement

Cool
Welcome to the track world!
Looking for Slick tires(R compound) or street/track tires?
R tires---NT01
Street/Track Federal 595RS-R

not recommend you use the R tires now, coz R tires can't learn anything at all
Start with street tires, when you hit to the limit and improve enough
Then jump to the R tires ^^
595RS-R is the best Price/Quality tires
140 tread wear Under $600 a set
can last 9+ track events + canyon + street use
Basically last at least 1 year with track days good deal

Federals are not up to the task, at least the ones we get here. Better stay with the stock bridgestones. We only get the SS595 Federals
Like we never had the r01r from bridgestone and loads of other good track day tyres!

Anyway go have a look @ camskill's site... pretty cheap semislicks (under 800€ for a set of 4) www.camskill.co.uk ) that's where i buy my semislicks!

I run the falken Azenis right now but I have 2 sets of Nt-01's for next year. Have you tried ordering tires from the states?

I was planning to get 17" wheels and put Toyo R888 on them but maybe its a good idea to stay
away from semislicks for a while at this stage
dont know what to choose tho, Toyo T1R maybe?

I hate you!
Anyway ordering tires from the states is way more expensive than buying from camskill (talking about advan a048) since the italian customs always add the infamous iva + another 5% of custom duties
Let me know when you're ordering the next batch though, i might buy them and then divide shipping costs!

17x9 is perfect track wheels!
but the Toyo 888 kind of expensive. Good tires if you can afford them

just a kindly remind
Starter → Street tires → learn more skills
Starter → R compound tires → learn less skills

another video of 595RSR

I feel sorry for you...
here in CA has lots of used tires& rims for good prices
17x9 FN01RC + 255/40/17 70% left NT01s for $600, can't beat this price

How you like the RT615?
I hate them....way too easy to over heat, when they get over heat, it becomes drift tires =_=

RX8 with 595RSR vs EVO with NT615

800€ the advan a048 in 235\40r18...
AT LEAST 800€ for the light alloys. Enkeis are very expensive here, at least a set of Oz ultraleggera runs for 800€ new if you know where to find it!

I like them never had a problem with them getting to slick after multiple runs. I ran my 245/40-18's on Nurburgring one day for about 20 laps (260 miles) and only had a problem with tire clumping they were very sticky all day long. I got a good deal on a set of Nt-01's so thats what I decided to run next year.

That's good to hear
I think because Nurburgring has enough straight/high speed cornerd to cool down the tires.
Street of willow this track is all the way low speed corners, lots of braking, tires heat up fast
good to know you have luck with RT615 ^^

BTW, so want to go to Nurburgring to give a try

How much was the shipping?

I might try to do the same with other tires!
