Let me guess; your car committed suicide and shot itself in the head because you dropped it so low that his ***** kept dragging on the asphalt.

Is your car FI? I heard that porting doesn't make a whole lot of difference on NA cars. I should clarify on the 8 anyways. What other work are you getting done. Just curious. And your getting the work done at JPR right?

Not FI yet. It should put 210whp down. But I needed the rebuild. Look at the rotor housings...they are trashed. My OMP gasket was leaking and starving my front rotor of oil. Yup JPR is doing the rebuild and porting.

Now im not going FI yet, but there would have been no point to go FI if I had bad compression. Plus there should be more FI gains with a ported block.

I was going to call them to see if they could tune my 8 and what I'd need to have for them to do it. I have intake, high flow cat, and exhaust work done. I was going to go with the cobb but if they can custom make a map for me it would probably be a little cheaper. I just wasn't sure what other options I have other than the Cobb to reflash the ecu. They are only like 10 minutes from my house which is really convenient. Do you know if they dyno tune there?

I should mention that my 8 is not my daily driver so I am looking for an aggressive tune. I want to start tracking it in Millville. I also don't know what other route I could take other than the cobb for reflashing the ecu. Unfortunately, there just arn't a whole lot of options.

Well cobb discontinued the AP for our cars. You can get a used one and then get the MazdaManiac calibration service. Its worth every penny.

Thank you, thank you.

As of yesterday the rotor housings arrived from MazMart as well as the apex and side seals. I'll have more info this evening.

Also, I will have video of what a Street Ported Renny sounds like on saturday @ the MazdaManiac Dyno Day in NJ.
