Looks like someone wanted a two tone paint job but then realized they only had $50 for it and still went for it. Just looks incomplete to be honest Taj. Even in a different color I'd still be making the same comment. Complete it or just repaint it all Silver.

Oh Tajie, dear sweet lil man..........
Good job on trying something new and diiferent, and even better job on realizing that it looks like poo.
Change it back to all SS or imo, make the areas a darker silver maybe titanium.

ok ok, so yea, no gold ftw
so right now I'm debating whether to go:
1. black
2. Grey
3. hot pink (idk just crossed my mind)
feed back pls? will be re-painting today and posting pics again, since I got the template for the painting, its pretty damn easy now, don't worry, the paint isn't really meant to be ever lasting anyways, I'm just bored, I did some stuff
ps: I hate the ******* rims, but seeing I only have 3 stock rims and am officially broke, I cant rly buy new ones until later on.

wow
As much as i would love to tell you to paint it pink and laugh some more, i just cant do that to another 8.
Taj, other than going back to original (which is best bet), you COULD go with black and then get your inner rims powder coated glossy black (not the lip). Powder coating is relatively cheap. Along with some dark window tint. Other than that i dont see any other color working with silver/grey.

^ I am going to buy new rims, since I have came to a conclusion that no one on earth (including myself) except for my mom likes my rims at all, so yes, I am going to paint it black, but I am probably going to leave my calipers gold, should look interesting, worse comes to worse, I have a gallon of SS paint coming, I should be fine

Im with everyone else...just not feelin it. Reminds me of the riced out civics with crappy paint jobs that dont match.
If your car was all silver, and had some decent rims, i twould be sharp looking. The gold does ruin it though.
I do thi nk its cool that you tried something new, just not feelin it bud.

Im going to try black first and post pics probably later today, if it really just doesn't work, I'll revert back to stock SS, but my car looks so shitty with these wheels I think no color would work, have to buy new rims!! time to shop rx8club.com!

I think the problem is that there is not a solid presence of that Gold color on your car. You did some "patchwork" and the job doesn't look complete. The combination of the colors is not the first one that comes to mind but it is not bad. Do your hood, roof and trunk similar to Chrism or GreekRX8 (sp?) and you might have something unique.
Oh and the rims HAVE TO GO. They're ugly from the start but chrome on top of that. Get some Gold rims.
If you want to get rid of the gold, get orange instead, but not a terribly bright one though, but rather like a burnt orange.

^ I'm thinking of doing black ATM, I know the rims have to go man, I'll update with pics
and yea, I know its not complete and all, but my point of painting the diffusers are exactly that, just to outline the curves of the bodykit, nothing more, nothing less, and yes, I seriously need a spoiler after this

You've been busy when you haven't been posting.
This can work is if you get gold caps on your teeth, dye your hair gold, get the biggest gold chain around your neck that you can physically lift, and hang a gold rim from it. Then stand by the car and make gangsta hand signs while rap pounds out the open windows.
Taj, you weren't kidding when you said that you "do ****" to your car. I'll believe you from now on.

Black will look awesome. That's really an excellent idea & the kit looks like it should come w/the extra color right where you put it. But silver - gold - chrome don't hold together well at all.
I do believe Easy liked your rims - tho he's switched out now.
Spoiler's are bad, m'kay?

^ I always do **** to my car, lol
I got another idea, need input on this
I'm thinking I might just paint the entire sideskirt and everything under the top gold line on the rear bumper black.....what do you guys think?

taj please do all silver or use black for only the bottom part of your front side and rear so it looks like a lip over the kit and that's only if you really must go and not make it all silver
again please go silver!!!! Go get one of those Many auctioned wheels in the buy/sell forum gogogo!!

I just shat myself
Yea it's awful, luckily you realize that. Kudos!
If I was in your shoes, with painting equipment, I'd paint the star pattern of the wheels with a gloss black leaving the outer rim as chrome.. This would go well with tinted windows and either the black or SS re-paint..
I also highly recommend a florescent orange or pink trim!! haha

Hough, (and Taj, you little hypocrite), he's already posted on this site that he has a Buddha on his dashboard:

Scroll on down to post #3.
So HEY! Yourself. Taj owes me an apology. I forgive Hough because she probably didn't know.
