Side Strakes

I'd like to put the Side Strakes on my RX8.

Has anyone does this to their RX8?

How difficult is it to do that?

Do I have to take the side Grills off?

Thank You

Yes you do, in order to bolt it in place. http://web2.chicagonet.net/~reds/Strakes8.jpg

How to remove the side grills?

Thank You again,

I've taken a close look at the grills and there are no screws there so how do I remove the grills?

I've also looked at the graphics you told me about.

For God's sake, Gandu, read the referenced thread that moRotorMotor posted. It spells everything out for you.

I don't see how you can claim you read the referenced thread - posts #3, 4, 5, and 6 in that thread go into very specific detail exactly about removing the side grill, and include photos for each of those steps.

GO READ IT AGAIN - don't forget to click on the picture links.

Regards,
Gordon

In the threads all I see are 2 JPGs. Are you referring to more than 2 JPGs?

Lol, Gandu, you are funny in mysterious ways. You have to unscrew the screws that hold the wheel well in place and slide your hand underneath to pop the vents out

and here

We are talking about this side strake install thread , which moRotorMotor linked to. There are 18 JPGs linked in there, one for each step of the install. Like I said - #3, 4, 5, and 6 are the sequence of the posts that describe removing the side grill, and also the numbers for the accompanying JPG pics to illustrate it.

Gordon
