Wussup everyone, new owner of a lightning yellow RX-8. The dealer finally released my car to me today after a week of holding it. I bought it the day there was a recall on some wiring for the airbag and they couldn't release the car till it was fixed. I'll be posting pictures up soon!

Parked it so I could see it through the window at work. It was like the RX-8 was the only car in "color" and all the others were in black and white :D

 

im getting a lightning yellow on too, they look awesome... but can anyone tell me what the rotary accent package is? i got it but no idea what it is

 

The small Rotary Emblems on the Front/Rear of the body.

 

the triangle in the front and read are chromed. go to the mazdausa site and look at the accessories pages

Congrats!! I am still trying to figure out why they held the car for a week for the airbag fix. I took mine in for an oil change today and they looked up my VIN and accomplished the recall as well. Total time=23 minutes(oil change + airbag fix). Just wondering why they kept your car from you so long.... Enjoy, nonetheless!!

they held it for a week because the part didn't come in. the salesperson showed me the e-mail that was sent out by Mazda. All the dealerships were supposed to have received the part the next day (after the recall was sent out). apparently they didn't send out the wiring for my specific VIN #. They did tell me once they received the part, it was only a matter of 10 min to replace the actual wire. they did give me a red RX-8 to drive around until mine was ready.

I think the Rx8s *** looks best in yellow. I dont knowwhy but the Rx8 tail lights just look really hot w/yellow all around them. That is definitelymy favorite angle of the yellow Rx8.
