Ok, when we first went into the area where they were signing autographs, they said no pictures, but a little later on everyone was taking pictures. There was a blue mazdaspeed 8 in there that had FI. it's the same one we saw in the aftermarket threads from laguna. It's not turbocharged, it's supercharged.
The gauge on the curtain airbag mount is a blitz vaccuum gauge. Rotarygod also felt around for the turbine connection and couldn't find anything. He said it's "definitely not turbocharged." I have pictures of the car, the X2 car, and everything else from the show and I'll have pics from racing beat tomorrow. There's gonna be a very large flood of info to these boards in the next few days, so be ready. I'll try and get them up asap, but i have to go back to dallas tomorrow night and i dont even get in until 1am monday morning. So monday night is the earliest you'll see any of my pics, most likely.

i think 50 hp gain isnt too bad (Petit Supercharger). but if i was going to add more boost to my car, i'd get something that has huge potential. like greddy's twinturbo for the 350z and G35. 5000 is jsut 1000 less from greddy's twinturbo, and the twinturbo's possible maximum hp is up to 700!

good luck running twins on the RX8. The compression ratio makes it very difficult to handle high levels of boost.

Man, before SS7 - while we were waiting to get into the place, they were driving that thing up and down the street. You could hear the BOV going off all the time... It sounded pretty cool. :D

Not to mention the heat issues would be astounding.

They've tested the hell out of it. The RB exhaust will be top quality and work like it should or they won't produce it. And they are going to produce it, so that means...

Man thanks guys for posting these pic's, this is awesome, I can't wait for some of the FI kits to become available.

Pettit said they dynoed their 8 over 200 times and didn't give you any hints at what the numbers might be, rather than 50hp and 50ftlbs. What a tease.....

So does anybody actually know who's car the blue mazdaspeed 8 belongs to? Is it Mazda's or what?

I'm not too sure about the RB front, but it doesn't look bad at all. The RB intake looks very good though.

shelleys man, i want my gt35r too. 500 hp, baby. we'll get there, one day...one day.
380 rwhp is just right for me. 500 hp is pushing it. You can still make it legal however.

I'm looking forward to Racing Beat's N/A intake system. That's the type I'm looking for.

I like the Racing Beat front fascia. I think it's the wheel choice that makes it look funky. Maybe if you strapped on the SSR Mesh rollers, it would look totally boss.

I guess i'll have to wait a little while longer.

I cant believe they havent updated their website with the supercharger yet. Even their brochures pointed people in that direction but they will find nothing...

Didnt get that.

later on during sevenstock they parked a pearl white Rx8 next to the copper one. I got a picture I will post it when I get the film developed. Probably when the car comes out in 3 months...LOL. I think someone will post it up though. :D

The owner of the red FD with the "gull wings" said he had about $70,000.00 invested in the car.
