Gotta love the subtle DIY mods.

I'll probably steal your idea when I get some free time.

I want to paint the rest of my covers white.

And i threw in some red felt to match the interior.

What kind of paint did you use on the cover?

Looks good but I doubt the paint will hold up on the oil cap.

But you left the brake fluid cap black? I painted mine in OEM VR paint. Was not a fan of the odd yellow cap either.

not that hard, i used just scissors and my hands and just worked it a little probably took 5-10 minutes overall and helps clean up the engine bay.

Those are the fender linings which are easy to take out. The firewall part is a real pain in the ***.

I used blue high temp caliper paint. Even did the radiator cap(hard to see in this shot) and it's been over three years with no issues on any of them. Except on the oil of course as I have another cap there. Sorry for the crappy pics!

I used generic high temp paint from autozone for mine as well, primered, painted, ran out of clear coat so put them back in the car with the intention of clear coating them later.

Now 2 years later and lots traffic under the hood from maintenance and other stuff . The caps still look the same. Actually shocked me lol, not bad for a $4 mod .
