Good progress guys, Let's see the first start up video tonight!

8 Maniac 09-12-2012 10:53 PM

From the looks of it, I bet you can get at least 250 hp from that... maybe 260.

The build is looking amazing!

houstonrx8er 09-12-2012 11:28 PM

he will have 100,000hp and it will run forever.

Hoss, did you add the cooper hair like we did on mine :suspect:

shadycrew31 09-13-2012 12:31 AM

Are you guys manually pulling the clutch pedal back up after the bleeder valve is closed then pressing it down again?

It wont work if you don't pull it back up with your hands, well it will but you will be there for 30 days squeezing out a drop at a time. .

We are a bit short on cooper hair in the SARX garrage. Everything is together for the most part. Tried to fire it up and got slow crank. Letting the battery charge tonight. Its four am have to be up in two point five hours for work ugh.....

Many many picks to upload tomorrow.

9krpmrx8 internal torque wrench for that ass. Luckily Hoss got the broken piece out or I would have burned the house down to the ground.

Sounds good DC. hmmm three turbo RX8s in one place! Bad ass. We need to install Scotts boost gauge before Saturday as well.

Maybe I'll get the kids to wash my wheels finally!! lol. I think I can get the oil drain out easily if I clock the turbo away from the wastegate arm.

paimon.soror 09-13-2012 11:10 AM

not to turn this into a "Teach me" session, but exactly why are MAF sensors so close to the intake cone on boosted setups?

They aren't on all setups, there is a theory that you need 3" of material pre and post maf to get the most accurate readings. its best if those 3" are straight with no bends.

paimon.soror 09-13-2012 11:15 AM

aha, thanks for that.

shadycrew31 09-13-2012 11:30 AM

No worries its all in my sig....

paimon.soror 09-13-2012 11:31 AM

lol!

markf5020 09-14-2012 12:58 AM

Awesome write up, can't wait to see how this thing turns out

you need a lot more than 3" if there is a bend pre maf ....

alas only 2/3rds of the answer are in MY sig.
