RX8's are slow.......... Now this is rear power
Spent the day in Englishtown, NJ today and the NHRA Nationals to watch the final eliminations. I try to go every year-- its a must
There's nothing like 8,000 HP rumbling through your body. If you guys find time I would recommend finding an event in your area. Its nothing you have ever felt, smelled, or tasted.....
ENJOY!
Track conditions later in the day were better cars were seeing ET's at high 3's to low 4's at 300mph to 315ish mph

^ No the video's dont do any justice... When the nitro cars take off from the tree it feels like someone's punching you in the chest and the heat radiates.... not to mention even with ear plugs these ******* still rattle the ear drums

Nice dude. I used to live near (few miles away) a drag strip and you can hear those things like they are in your backyard. I lived at the drag strip basically for the last 12 years and those things are insanely loud.

Definitely nothing like it
Watching these guys is a MUST for any true car guy...
I'll see if I can get some of my pics from last year together. I took more pics of the pits and drivers last year. This year I spent more free time in the beer gardens

First off... I was thinking the exact same thing, HOLY ****... you must bench a shitload
Second... I was at Ennis Raceway like 2 1/2 years ago ( 10/28/2007) and I saw a former 8 member, Jenkins, with his 8 near the drag with a Wheelie bar behind his car... Idk why he would need it but ill try to find the pictures I have of his car...
Third... You are correct Maniac, Ive been to 2 O' Reilly Fall Nationals in Ennis and they ARE LOUD... You can feel your face vibrate and yes, you can taste the fuel and rubber

Top fuel dragsters are insane. They get 8k HP out of 500 cubic inches of bigblock.
The EXHAUST HEADERS generate 800-1000lb of DOWNFORCE at FULL THROTTLE.
Also, Pico: Your biceps are bigger than my head. Please dont hurt me.

I would like to point out this link, it is a 13b not a 12a in this IDK why the title of it says 12a.
