The GA RX-8 Club was back at Barber Motorsports Park for the Grand AM races this past weekend. There were four RX-8's 2 in the ST class, and 2 in the GT class. Thought i would share the pictures I took, it will take a while to get them all up, I have about 60 that turned out decent. The fireball ones are a little blurry, but they are very cropped, and were shot from a long way away, and even the 300 mm lens was not enough.



















There will be more to come, it just takes time to go through them all.

and yeah, it was gut wrenching to watch Sylvain fight the car the last few laps, and fall from 3rd to 5th. same thing happened to David Haskell in the #69 in the ST race, he lost the podium on the last corner.

Cobalt is a very balanced car from the factory.. GM Racing built a Cobalt last year and won the Super Street time-attack !st place!!

Again, Speedsource did a fantastic job!!

 

it does a damn good job out there, at the beginning of the '06 campaign, it owned all competition, but Grand Am made them go back to a STOCK exhaust, and it took them a while to rebound from it. It is Supercharged, and holds it's own. While not that easy on the eyes, it seems to work.

I saw the 69 and 70 white 8 this last weekend in Montreal. It's fun racing to watch.
