35% is the maximum allowed here on all windows in TX. I think I'll find a tint shop and see if they can show me firsthand what I'll be seeing through the windows of the car before I decide.
I don't want to impair my visibility in any way by tinting but I want to protect the car. I wish they had auto tinting windshields like the glasses :b

Welp right before I got my Escort in the mail and a few days after I got my tint I got a ticket for speeding (@#$) going 80 on Freeway (heh not very fast) I couldn't tell it was a cop behind me. I need to get some getting used to for the back window. I am better now at identifing cars but one of my first nights on the road, thats just bad luck for me!
BTW great pictures of the cars and tint jobs :D

Stuck in a love triangle
I alwaystint my cars but w/the Rx8 I want people to see the ***** who is sitting behind the wheel. The tints do lookreally nice though on the Titanium. I might reconsider tintingmine as well. 5% in a car w/such small windows is really dark. If I do do them they wont be darker than 15%

Anyone happen to know the max legal tint in CA?
(d) Notwithstanding subdivision (a), clear, colorless, and transparent material may be installed, affixed, or applied to the front side windows, located to the immediate left and right of the front seat if the following conditions are met:
(1) The material has a minimum visible light transmittance of 88 percent.
(2) The window glazing with the material applied meets all requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 205 (49 C.F.R. 571.205), including the specified minimum light transmittance of 70 percent and the abrasion resistance of AS-14 glazing, as specified in that federal standard.
(3) The material is designed and manufactured to enhance the ability of the existing window glass to block the sun's harmful ultraviolet A rays.
(4) The driver has in his or her possession, or within the vehicle, a certificate signed by the installing company certifying that the windows with the material installed meet the requirements of this subdivision and identifies the installing company and the material's manufacturer by full name and street address, or, if the material was installed by the vehicle owner, a certificate signed by the material's manufacturer certifying that the windows with the material installed according to manufacturer's instructions meets the requirements of this subdivision and identifies the material's manufacturer by full name and street address.
Can someone decipher this ;-)

Tint rear windows
How did you guys tint these windows ?
I went to a local "window-clinic" wich is supposed to be very good (the work I've seen was good) but they did not want to do the rear window.
They said there was not enough room to do the tinting.
Or did they remove the rear window to do the tinting ?
Did they use foil, or did they sprayed the window ?
Thanks
