RX-8 Tinted Up :) Photos
I decided to get a tint on my RX-8 because it brings out the good side of the titanium. Here are the results. Using the Llumar 5% on back window and the two tiny windows. And 35% on the the driver and passenger side.

The 5% at night is taking me some getting used to. I don't know If I'll be able to spot cop lights from a mile away anymore based on coloring all I see now is lights. But supposedly I will get used to it like nothing... We will see

I love the license plate- Hackintosh- I guess he loves to hack macs- me I'm just waitiing to jump on the second generation new Mac dual G5 2.6 ghz.
ANyway I have a titanium as well here in New York City. I love the tint look- especially with the titanium, but since I park on the street at night when I take the car out of the garage for dinner, etc, and park in downtown Manhattan, I think the tint makes a greater temptation for window smashers looking for loot- which is why I always tend to keep NOTHING visible inside the car- so people can see there is more than likely nothing to steal. With tint- who know- there may just be gold bullion sitting on the seat waiting to be deposited at the federal reserve bank.

Looks good. Does anybody notice that by tinting the rear window to a dark color, it gets more 'opaque', and thus kind of make the car looks 'cabin heavy'? Because of the opaqueness, it kind of creates an optical illusion that the back is heavy.

So many roads to ride...
5% is REALLY dark, and I think it looks strange w/ lighter tint on Front windows.....How about a bar across the windshield?
With dark tint like that, I found I had to open the windows to see what was behind me when I wanted to reverse, and trying to find an address was impossible...you just can't see.

Front wasn't tinted, legal issues with that here. I haven't had to find addresses at night yet with it so we will see, but the driver and passenger arnt as dark as the back so seeing out it is alright with me so far

LOL, makes me wonder what tint my dealer put on. I just said "put on whatever you think looks cool" and when I picked up the car I was quite worried because it was PITCH BLACK! I'm pretty sure it's darker than that...
I guess I have to take some photos some day

I had my Silver 8 done with 35% on all the windows. It allows enough visability through the back and still looks good. I like the uniform look of one darkness of tint.

I have to say, I've been riding the fence color-wise leading up to an April purchase between black, blue, and grey, but those tints really make the grey look great. Damn, too many choices!
