This may not be too far fetched. I HEARD a conversation about a coupe version of the RX-8 without the rear doors...which could make a convertible possible. Wouldn't that be something to see..

a white convertible rx8. no rear doors. 16x rotary engine. with the interior of the 09s. R3 rims and suspension. should be the most beautiful car ever made.

my idea, having seen other pics of this one-off convertible is that its a convertible top until the roll bar. and its a targa top from the roll bar to the windshield.
