truthfully, the rear of the rx-8 need something... and a wing will bring a better end... but even wiv the MazdaSpeed wing, its not enough?!? i havent seen a good wing for the Rx-8 yet for my taste... we all just have to wait then until more companies makes other body kits and a functional wing... :D

Ps: how abt putting the MazdaSpeed front end to the pix... wivout the sideskirts... dat would look nice as well...

Hey, I got no problem with the photoshops, just not my cup of tea is all.

Some people are really talented and make nice images HOWEVER... many of these pictures are ricey and thus we get that 'crowd' (and I've seen it happen before) getting into the stoplight racing threads, horsepower wars, "i beat XXX car!!" and a never ending spiral DOWNWARD in discussions.

While there are some younger guys on the board (Xracer, Tommo, etc) they have not bought the mentality that lies with too many people in the high school years full of testosterone and pointless posts (ie, KILLS!).

It's not that I disapprove of the photoshopping, it's what I fear will ensue later on -- the pointless posts, kills, flaming, and anti-educational banter. It kills forums that try to have a general precense of relaying information and carrying on good useful conversations.

Please don't think I am trying to be rude, it's not my intention. I don't mind cars that look like 'sleepers' but I also don't mind the very racy cars either. However there is a METHOD to being racy, and adding things like huge spoilers and lowering to the floor add no performance gains; and thus cars are generally not designed as such. Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, etc are all companies that have made very racy cars that are elegant yet sporty. I was recently checking out this site, and was very impressed that all the modifications to the car were on the engine, and none to the 'flashiness' that bring nothing to the performance table.

I admire your Photoshop skills Xracer, especially since the best I can do is make terrible looking stick people . However the discussion that *CAN* (and not necessarily may) follow pictures of more 'ricey' vehicles degrade into the types of messages I fear and loathe.

I hope you understand where I'm coming from in this... I run my own site and try to keep the pointless threads to a minimum. Thus far I've been lucky but then again, my site isn't very popular right now (except for those looking for information on 626/Millenia).

All I can ask is that if you're going to Photoshop (and you don't have to listen to me), is to stay away from cars that look like this, and try to stick with what you're doing now. While I didn't personally care for the mods/changes you made to the initial picture, they were done tastefully and not overly stupid looking (unlike the link I just gave you). You didn't add some retarded body kit (which generally make the car slower rather than faster), it was a simple rim change, color change, and spoiler add on, with a few things I might have missed. It was done well, not too ricey (though my definition of rice is much more sensitive than others hehe), and had taste.

Hope you can keep it that way is all

Tommo, just wanted to point out one thing quickly about the downforce..

While that wing WILL provide downforce, it will not do so unless the car is going unbelievably fast, probably upwards of 110-120mph. If you're cruising at 80 or 90 mph there will be no need for a spoiler that size, a simple lip spoiler would accomplish the same thing.

like an RX-7 with a veilside bodykit on it
In my opinion, the veilside kit is one of the ugliest bodykits for the RX7. I also think that it was the kit on the RX7 in The Fast and the Furious, which says alot about the style of that particular kit. I am not trying to flame, it is just that I think it is super ugly.

The cars i photoshop DO NOT necessarily reflect on what i would do to my own car (when ever i get one). When it comes to cars i am usually pretty damn picky. I dont mind a nice looking body kit like the mazdaspeed kit, or the C-west RX-7 kit...To me as long as i dont see it as crossing the line, I will consider it. I know a little bit about aerodynamics, drag ect... enough to make a eduacted decision about an aero part or somthing. I dont really like to draw attention to myself so i would be careful when i make a exterior change. Even if i think a particular kit looks better than another, if its too flashy ill get the other kit as long as it improves the extiror apperance to my likes.
