Cool stuff. I like the fenders....I had a similar idea. What are you using as the base there?

Aves Apoxie Sculpt, best stuff Ive ever used, Ive been sculpting for years and this is the industry standard. Its used by the Smithsonian for thier animal and dinosaur displays and by hollywood, it has Zero shrinkage unlike alot of 2 part epoxies which I have found can have up to a 20% shrink during thier green state...

So you form the Apoxie into your sshape, wait for it to setup, then you can sand it and move it into your final shape, then use that for a mold for your final material like carbon fiber or fiberglass, etc, correct?

Very easy to handle, more of clay material once you knead it together, has about a 2 hr working/handling time, I find myself mocking things up on average, no matter what the size of the part in about 45mins,,,,

First and second correct, actually for the molds, I will lay glass over, creating a glass mold, then use that as my mold to create replicas,,,,
But to get the perfectly mirrored part thats a lil more high-tech, the answer to that can be found in the link I posted back in post #6, that is a more comprehensive thread, because it was my first time using the equipment where I work, well car parts at least,,,

Just start removing material, if you look at the first couple fender duct pics you can see that I shave down all the high spots then back fill the lows...
Thats pretty much how I build everything...
