that's sick dude! how long did it take you? I just made the Renesis (to the best of my abilities) in AutoCAD for my final project. I'm gonna take solidworks in the spring of next year.

My compression dishs didn't look/measure exactly as the mazda ones so i took them out of this rendering.

Diesel is an interesting idea though, isn't it?

Not to familiar with solidworks as I use Autocad. I did the same thing for my Design capstone Project but definately nowhere near the amount of detail you put in yours (Gear tooth and all)

Does your eccentric shaft actually rotate 3 times for every full rotation of the rotor?

Oh and if interested I have a scaled profile of the rotor housing...(Exact line the rotor follows)

how did you get measurements if you don't mind me asking. I want to make a better render. I had to freestyle it, here are some cell phone pics i took of my project. As you can see my combustion recess is all messed up, but i had two weeks to make it and i had to learn 3d in those two weeks.

I don't have the stationary gears on there so right now i could make the whole thing free spin if i wanted.

IMO solidworks is way better for 3d than Autocad. I don't really like autocad at all except for something like blueprints.

That would be pretty sweet if you were willing to pass that along.

very carefully! lol.

these were all done by hand with calipers, micrometers, gauge pins and a couple other tools where appropriate.
