Red Tails in time for Summer

Finally after 3 coats of Testors candy apple and 3 coats of clear I got red tails. Just thought I would share.........

About how long did this take you?
Also how much was the cost of paint?

Thanks... took me about an hour and a half, last weekend wasn't so humid and I did it outside. I used a 3oz can of Testors candy transparent and a 3oz of clear gloss coat. got them off ebay, around 5-7 each.

Cool, just curious because my tails are tinted red but i went the different route of using a tint film. Took about the same time as you but it was about $30 for the film.

oh I see. I was gonna tint too but spray was cheaper and you can reapply or redo for less than a new sheet of tint.

looks good just a bit too candy red for my taste, maybe apply a smoke tint or something to bring the bright red down...

just saying it's weird with a non candy apple red 3rd brake light, just a light tint with nightshades or something

yea that non candy 3rd brake light did bother me a little. Don't know what to do with that. I'll do some photoshop see what it looks little tinted. thanks.

or just tint out the 3rd brake light so it's less noticeable? that might look good!
