I had originally painted mine black. Only the main caliper cylinder is red on my car. It also has OEM VR paint in it.

looks like the storm that dumped 10cm of snow has prevented me from doing ANY of the mods I was going to do this weekend... I need to find an indoor storage FAST!!!
I did, however, put my clear corners on. I'll try to take off the side vents to attach my strakes after the ice melts some...
Does the high temp paint work well if I do it in the cold?? (-14* Celcius 7*F)

Or, you could leave the strakes off...

My wheels are JIC Magic J-Force 05's.

haha I knew that I'd get a response like that. I'm gonna put the strakes on, take some pics, and if I like 'em, I'll keep them on. If not, they come off just as easily...

I like those rims though! I'll have to check around for some.

Well, after putting this off for months, I finally painted the front calipers!
I chose to go with black. I'm waiting on RP03's to get here, then I'll be set!

I just tested with the fronts. If they look good, I'll do rears tomorrow.

PS, yup, I also added the strakes They actually look pretty decent!

Looks really good from what I can tell. Do you have any bigger/better pics? I decided on black as well. Just gotta set aside some time one of these weekends.

I like the black brake calipers... maybe an RX8 stencil in gray would set them off.

Just don't put red in the engine bay and interior, okay?
The problem is that the phantom blue has a deep hues of green in it, and that's why it looks so horrendous with red.
With green and red, your car is going to look like Santa Claus puked all over it.

The only red I'm considering in the engine are all my aftermarket wires (BHR coils, grounding, etc) example:

Keeping everything else black.

The interior, all I want are my door lights red or blue, and maybe the map lights. Everything else... black (close to stock as I can be )

Go blue or white. I went blue and I think it looks really good.

Wait so red is rice?

Damn... and after all these years i thought red was a nice color

So red, even if done right... is bad...?

Like red AEM intake, and red ignition wires, and red calipers, and red car? Black on black interior is what i got cuz the red interior was just waaaay too much.

Im putting in engine bay light strips... but those r 6k temp colors. No red. Too much.

So am i rice? Even if done right? Or does this only apply to cars that are not red.... such as blue...

Personally, I think red brakes (especially on VR or SS) looks good, not ricey.

Hmm... should I go with black, blue or aluminum lug nuts??
Black will match the calipers
Blue will match the car (sort of ?)
Aluminum will match the strakes and f/r rotor accents
