I'm tuned by MazdaManiac. My motor has low compression and will be street ported and rebuilt starting at the end of this month. I can't wait to hear what it will be like ported.

Make sure you have a full can of PB Blaster. Racing Beat ships AWESOME instructions with the header. It lists the exact tools you need and the torque specs.

I will gladly make an in car video...when my car is back on the road.

I can tell you that inside the car under regular driving...its like just having a cat in regards to volume. When you get on it...you hear it a little bit more. This is the best setup ive had.

Here are my previous setups:
Header + Mid + catback
  1. OE + OE Cat + Greddy SP2
  2. OE + RP Super Cat + Greddy SP2
  3. OE + ExoticSpeed + Greddy SP2
  4. OE + ExoticSpeed + HKS Hi-Power
  5. OE + Racing Beat Dual Resonated Mid Pipe + HKS High Power
  6. Racing Beat Header + Racing Beat Dual Resonated Mid Pipe + HKS High Power

It certainly has been a long road and this setup is flipping sweet.

Sounds nice man, Im hoping to eventually get this header and BHR's midpipe... but I have to buy the Cobb AP first which ruins all my plans lol. Its going to be a hassle for Jeff (MM) to tune my car as im going to be buying BHR's ignition system next then Midpipe... sigh...

I'd say yes there will be a difference in sound. Kinda hard to describe...but you'll hear the engine more through the exhaust. Its really really sweet.

Thinking of getting the RB Header & I have a couple of questions - will it void the 8 yr. Mazda Engine Warranty and can this be installed on automatics?

Thanks to all the folks here for the invaluable information you have provided me over the years.

Its saved me lots of dollars and its truly appreciated!!

Sounds like my first RX7. The exhaust was garbage on it. Holes everywhere. So while driving, the exhaust would come up the shifter. If you weren't used to it, you're eyes would be watering in a mile. After some time, you got used to it and hated the smell of clean air!!!

Nice, you've tested several set-ups...

That's the way to go... I think you may have found the winner!

GL w/the motor build.

it looks slower, lol, it does sound good though. Did you notice or have dyno sheets of where it sits now of power gains/losses?

with the RB ported tune, vacuum leaks, and a header leak...186whp/135wtq. MM said with my bhr kit, he could squeeze a good amount out of whp, past 200's. I did my logs and hopefully will have a better tune shortly.

what im really anxious to see is how the street port will handle boost...when i get said $$.

What does your airflow log look like? What are your LTFT? With a vacuum leak, that is un-metered air, and they should be creeping higher. Thanks for sharing.

At that time I was using RB's tune...so I couldn't get any info through my AP.

OK, thanks. I keep thinking I have a vacuum leak also. I hear the strangest sounds at WOT, but my LTFT is steady at 3 right now. Jeff said it will trend higher if you have a leak.

Yea I have a rattle from my header, i think the gasket is gone or the header is rubbing against something. Unfortunately my exhaust takes a beating from driving to school and philly roads blow.
