Proud new owner, love my RX-8, '07 GT GGM
Hello all,
Just wanted to introduce myself... proud new owner of a 2007 GT in Galaxy Gray Mica. Picked it up last week, 40k miles for $14,750, in great condition.
Moved up to the RX-8 from my beloved Prelude which I kept mint for 11 years and was sadly totaled while parked on the side of the road by a drunk driver. The RX-8 is a phenomenal upgrade, and I'm loving every minute driving it and appreciating all the little engineering and design details that make this car special. I've spent way too much time on this site reading up on all things RX-8.
Just put on my old Momo Race Air Leather Aluminum shift **** and a Wheelskins europerf leather cover to beef up the steering wheel (great combo). BHR ignition is ordered and on the way as my first upgrade/maintenance. Also clear gray corners on the way. May take a while, but down the road plan for Axial Flow short shifter, PSS9s, r-magic style spoiler, Alleggeritas, and Z130bt.
Look forward to being a part of the community!

It's a holdover from when I had my Prelude... My name is Dev + vtec. Cute, but too obvious a combination to pass up. Keeping the handle for nostalgic reasons.
The old car, RIP:
Reliable, easy to work on, amazing handling for a FWD car, low and wide, classic aesthetic lines, inexpensive to own. My first car, years of work perfecting it. Will be sorely missed.
But very glad to have moved up to a platform that's RWD and has even better handling, two things basically impossible to find elsewhere in this price range.
