Chris, we can agree to disagree. Frankly, my lack of love for the police does not make me any less "nice" nor "reasonable." I've strong opinions on things and do not hesitate to express them. As far as "lack of knowlege" and "youth," my friend, I'm probably older and more educated than you...(not intended to offend you, but that is statistically right 85% of the time), it is my job to ensure cops follow due process and do not infringe upon civil rights. The very fact that my job exists means that most cops do.

I admit, I do not know this Officer "the LAW" personally, then again I do not know anyone on this site personally. I was responding to his message about me "needing" a cop. Which, may be once in a lifetime if that. Since I am licensed to carry a firearm, I don't think I'd ever "NEED" a cop, per se. I'd NEED a firefighter, an EMT (knock on wood), and my Priest. As long as I've lived, I've never NEEDED a cop. And those I know who could've used the services of a cop, there was none handy. Oh, I was responding to that and his comment on my taste in music.

In sum, my "irrationality" is caused by my daily experience with cops. If Officer "the LAW" is a "good one," then he is rare. However, by calling himself "the LAW" I seriously doubt that he is a humble cop. No worries, most aren't.

No one man is "the LAW," not even Supreme Court Justices. The LAW is the concensus of social contracts, which by definition, cannot be anyone's sole monicker. Most cops believe that they have a monopoly on "the LAW" as they have a monopoly on the "legitimate" use of violence. Violence does not equate to the LAW, proper. Anyways, I just wanted to clarify myself to you as you seemed "surprised" that anyone could have any feelings for cops other than "admiration" or "affection."

BigOLundh, you're right. This thread is not my battlefield. But if anyone gets "busted" for posting their pics, no one say I didn't warn ya.

I did drive on it for a bit, felt weird doing so...and then realized the strange feeling I was having was the glare of death from two security agents as they ran to their go cart to come and get me. I got out of my car and clicked a couple quick pics.

I am new to the RX-8 club and always enjoy Illegal pics, so I thought I would share some. The first one is a closed parking ramp, and the second is a new interstate there building in Moline IL (not quite open to public yet).

 

That is next to a street called East River Dr. I believe the water cannon is near by. The street, in the background, at the end of the row of lights is Columbus Dr.
