yeah - no canzoomer guys ran...see issues below re: cat converter.

The rest of us were more or less stock, save for a cat-back on at least one car.

Bad Cat!
That makes sense.
No flow = no hp.

I do not think that Shelbi's car has the M flash on it.
The dealer wanted her back and she has been ignoring them.

Here is a cut/paste of other post:

Thanks to EVERYONE that helped with tools/lifting/stock exhaust etc.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I reviewed our graphs(No "M" flash as far as we can tell).
I think that building a "real" straight pipe/turndown that has a bolt on flange at muffler will be the way we go in the future.
Muffler for day to day/ straight pipe for autox events.
Glad that we did 2 sets of pulls..one set with straight pipe and one set with stock exhaust.
We had more TQ/HP(some areas had big improvements 10+) from idle up to about 8K+ then I think that we were getting a misfire or something at top and graph flattened out with straight pipe.
Maybe we will try better wires with pipe and do another test.
Car did run leaner with straight pipe and it took off a lot of weight out at the end of the car which is also important for us.
Lower polar moment of inertia with straight pipe is a good thing.
I think that Shelbi's car made 193 peak with stock exhaust but I think that is would make in excess of 200 IF we car cure whatever is happening in the last 1.5K rpms.

I thought the 138 HP car had a bad plug but he said that was not it.
Hmmmm...

My new Super CAT midpipe is showing up today... Come on back down and check it out :p We could drink that BEER :D and pull another dyno!

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has created a standard method for correcting horsepower and torque readings so that they will seem as if the readings had all been taken at the same "standard" test cell where the air pressure, humidity and air temperature are held constant.

The equation for the dyno correction factor given in SAE J1349 JUN90, converted to pressure in mb, is:

where: cf = the dyno correction factor
Pd = the pressure of the dry air, mb
Tc = ambient temperature, deg C The pressure of the dry air Pd, is found by subtracting the vapor pressure Pv from the actual air pressure. For more information about pressures and calculation of the vapor pressure, see Air Density and Density Altitude.

The relative horsepower is simply the mathematical reciprocal of the correction factor.

what happened to the big thing w/ dynoing the rx8? don't the ABS sensors prevent an accurate HP reading? or can that be solved easily now? thanks.

From my knowledge, they do not hinder the dyno session. We did not pull any sensors that day.
