Pics of the new ride

Picked her up on Tuesday 6/22. Cleaned her up in the evening, so the pics are inside my garage. Not bad shots tho considering. Used the night function on the Olympus with no flash, turned out great--

What do you mean by cleaned her up in the evening. Did'nt they give it to you all clean? Normally I would think that with a car like the rx8 the dealer would give it to you all nice clean and shiny so you can just drive away from the lot.

But congratulations. I wish you safe driving and best always.

Thanks Martha, believe it or not, I am acutally the 2nd owner. Bought it off an individual in Kansas City who was "getting rid of some toys" I think his wife had something to do with it. Only has 3k on it, got it for a steal-

I don't have any more photos on the work PC, and the camera is at home. I can shoot some later if you like--

Would my question be in-discreet if I asked how much you paid for her?

Eh, normally I resist talking numbers, but since you asked, $26.5k as you see it. With only 3k on it, I would still consider the car new. Some dealerships would as well--

hey OKC, you interested in a spoiler for your new friend. I have a Ti Gray with a spoiler that I don't really want. We could trade deck lids if you are interested, and you get a FREE spolier out of it. Only thing it would cost you is a trip to Dallas, or maybe Frisco which really is not that far down the road.

LOL, no biggie John. Helluva offer tho. I am actually driving down to Plano this afternoon, gonna go right through Frisco. Got anything else to trade? Clear corners perhaps (the first mod I'm planning)--

No, I wish. The only two things on my to do list is get rid my of spolier and get some clear corners.

I also got my Ti Gray GT used, sounds like similar situation. I got mine from some rich dude in NJ who put 1600 miles on it in 4 months and had it in the garage all the time. I offered him 26K, he took it and flew me out there to pick it up. Drove it back from NJ to Dallas and doubled the milage.

Chrome rims look great. Are they as hard to keep clean as the original rims? My front rims get a lot of break pad dust.

Yup, brake dust is a huge problem. I find myself wanting to wash the whole car because the rims look dirty. I've heard of other types of pads that reduce the amount of dust the breaks produce, but have never bought them. Anyone else?
