And finally, note the XM satellite radio in the front cup holder. It fits perfectly, I didn't have to drill any holes, or do any real mods, just had to run an antenna to the trunk...

it looks like you have a satelite radio rig in the cup holder there... Is that a working part of the 8? If so, where did you put the antenna?

XM Satellite Radio Install

The satellite radio is a Delphi SKYFi. It just drop fit right into the cup holder in the center comsole. No Drilling or screws required. Power is brougth to the unit by an adapter that plugs into the accessory port in the rear by the DVD. The power adapter is also an FM Modulator.

The cup holder still closes, so I can keep it from prying eyes. The head unit detaches from its cradle (which stays in the RX), I have a boom box the head unit pops into so I ca take the tunes from the car to the beach.

I ran the antenna lead down the center console, through to the trunk, followed the wiring harness to the deck lid.

I had to fish the wire through the rubber grommet at the trunk lid up to the trunk deck, The antenna itself is magnetic, so again, no holes.

If I need to ever uninstall it, 5 mins and its out.

My next project, some sort of ECU mod. I'm really leaning towards Maniac's Greddy/Trust E-Manage ECU mod. Sounds relatively easiy, reversable, and not too pricey.

Wow, nice choice man! Same taste for colors hear, both interior and exterior!
Only difference is you have the cruise control and the MD , but mine has the awesome climate control we get here in europe :D

Your car shines like no other! What 've you used? Don't tell me that zaino or NXT you have in the US... give me something I can find over here

P.S. Get clear corners! They're awesome!

Make it shine!

I use the new Turtlewax UltraGloss Liquid Wax followed by the Ultragloss Detailer, and lots of TLC

Since I don't drive the car except on weekends, it stays in the garage, under a RX-8 car cover. It gets washed after every weekend's use, and waxed about every third wash.

Surprising what people will do to keep the beauty of a 30k car. I know it's an RX-8... I love mine too. Imagine if it was a 100k+ car you are protecting.. :P Wonder what the ferrari owners say with their detailing.
