Caliper paint

Order the G2 brake caliper paint from the tire rack. $38.00. Includes the brake cleaner, and aircraft quality high temp paint. The brush is also included.

www.tirerack.com

I have a velocity red RX-8 and painted the calipers red and it looks great.

Excuse the ignorance guys, but did you have to disasemble the calipers to do this or just remove the wheel?

I took my calipers off and hung them from the springs with mechanics wire, but I was also fortunate enought to have access to a lift and could get all four wheel and calipers off at the same time. I would recomend removing the caliper from the rotor, they are only held on with 2 bolts and you can be more accurate with your painting when they are off.

OR, you could go to your loal Meijer's, or some other department stores have it, and buy the Duplicolor Caliper Paint kit. Comes with high degree porcelein paint, caliper cleaner, brushes and masking tape. No need to take the calipers off, just mask and be careful while you paint. Just a suggestion...even if you buy the G2, get some disposable brushes as you need to wait a bit between coats and put at least 3 coats on and it will look fantastic.
P.S. get PoLaKs RX-8 logo stencils so you can put the RX-8 logo on yours, if you would like that, of course. :D

Another suggestion, don't get caliper paint, instead get engine paint.

painting the pads the same color as your calipers looks dumb. it's overkill, but more than that, it doesn't look right.
